I wish that I had photographs of everyone who played at Skylight. Marty Jordan & Brown Matthews, Rick Sutton, Patsy Sheffield, Chip Lasseter & Dan Noojin, Dan Maddox, Psalm, Barry Goss, Arnie Sanford, His Band, Bob McLeod, Chuck Childers, Jerry Jordan, Jimmy Reeves, Craig Dobbins, Gordon Mote, Debbie Handy, Rapture, Rick Shirley, David Lay, Joanna Stockard and Devine Design. Over twenty years of great music and friendship. I know that I am leaving a bunch of people out.
Some of these photos are a little fuzzy because they were taken from old newsletters. Please send photos my way if you happen to have better ones. I hope you enjoy seeing these images of these past performers.
There are a few of these photos with hyperlinks to websites. Check them out by all means but do come back.

Jim Pollard, the fellow with the mustache, is now part of WIND (Nori & Barbie Kelley). Little Children played at the Coffee House as well as the Falls Festivals. |
Doug found the Lord through the ministry of Christian Brothers. He became a regular talent and I enjoyed singing with him for a good while. Doug was called into the ministry and left for seminary in the early eighties. We still keep in touch. |

Don and Faith Peters were from Birmingham, AL. They were a nice blend of rock and country. Yes, that is Brooky in the back. They were a solid band. I believe Nori played in this band for a while. |
Jerry Holman was passing through town about a year ago. I invited him to stay over while he got his car fixed. We sat up late that night talking about JOEL and Skylight and what God was doing now in everybodies life. JOEL was a regular band at Skylight. They were so sweet and what wonderful music. I would love to hear Larry Cook on guitar again. |
|
New Wine played the coffeehouse. They also played the festivals. |
Fred Field was a member of the christian pioneer band LOVE SONG (with Chuck Girard, Tom Coomes, and Jay Truax). Fred spent a good bit of time down here one fall. He stayed at Don & Jennies while touring the southeast. Fred played at the coffeehouse when we were using Central United Methodist's Youth Hut. He took part in our festival planning sessions at Martin's Farm that year. |

Stephen Lauren Bigger was a regular at Christian Brothers too. He is still around and playing so click on his photo to visit his site at www.rockarbor.com

ARRAY(0x8766be8) THE GUISE consisted of Mychael Bynum, Brook Finlayson, and David Finlayson (later Ken Beasley on drums). We played a lot of original material along with a wide array songs from past local/national Jesus Music artist. We not only enjoyed singing together but cutting up on stage as well. I would love to reunite with them again sometime. |

Mychael played through out the 90's at Skylight. He is a wonderfully gifted man with a burning heart for ministry. Mychael would record massive audio productions just for one performance at this little fellowship. Who could forget his BACK IN TIME performance where he reclaimed the rock & roll classics for Jesus. What an huge undertaking and an incredible evening. |

I regret that I missed hearing these guys play (I was living in KY). They originally called themselves SPIRIT BAND. Brook said their style was sophisticated, more like an up-to-date Yes/Kansas/Genesis sort of thing. I missed so much while I was away. |
Based in Newark, Delaware, Bill & Barbie Beck made there way down to Skylight on many occasions. I MISSED EVERYONE!!! I was living in Kentucky at the time and would always hear from Brook how great this brother and sister team were. I later got to know Barbie because she married our good friend Nori Kelley. Nori and Barbie are playing around a lot these days. |

Brook was an early member of Christian Brothers. He not only played at the coffeehouse on a regular basis but toured with the Christian Brothers Sound Company as well. You can still catch him on some Gadsden Vineyard worship teams. You can always find him running sound for EVEN SO. |
